IMPORTANT MEAL UPDATE:
Parents, you can go to the MMS or to WES to pick up meals for your children. You are not required to go to your child’s campus.
All children receiving meals MUST be present at the time of meal pick-up; this is a state mandated law.
Beginning Thursday, April 2, WISD will be able to provide 5 meals at one time for each child. Parents MUST request the meals before picking them up. Meals must be requested by 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April, 1. The meals will be boxed-up with each child’s name on them. You can request meals by calling 903-342-5716.
Your child will be eligible for the breakfast/lunch combo regardless of income eligibility. Lunch pick up will be from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. daily and will include a breakfast for the following day.
Meals will be picked up at Memorial Middle School or Winnsboro Elementary School. It is not mandatory, but we are asking for everyone to request lunches to help with our counts. You can request by calling 903-342-5716 between 7:30-9 a.m., or by filling out the form below:

As a reminder, the state has mandated that each child that will be receiving a lunch be present when the lunch is picked up.

Technology Services and Devices
Most secondary students are familiar with Google Classroom. Google Classroom will be utilized by several teachers during this time.
Secondary students who have not heard from their child's teacher should check the campus website and teacher pages for class codes if they have not used Google Classroom prior to this point.
A Parent MUST be the one to pick up a device for their child. WISD has paperwork that must be filled out before you can take a Chromebook.
To request a device please fill out the form below:
https://forms.gle/dS4iJYYUUSpkeJdQ6
Chromebook pick-up is scheduled for Thursday, March, 26 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at WHS. Device distribution will be held at the bus ramp.
Wi-fi will be necessary to operate the Chromebooks, but WISD is not able to provide wi-fi for students to take home a this time.
If you do not have wi-fi at home, you can go to the parking lot any of our WISD campuses, Winnsboro City Hall, Gilbreath Memorial Library, Dairy Queen, and McDonalds to access the guest wi-fi without a password. Please DO NOT get out of the vehicle to access and utilize the wi-fi.
In an effort to make communication between WISD teachers and students more efficient, the gmail accounts that students use to log-in to their chromebooks have now been activated for use as a communication tool between students and their teachers. For example – students can now email their teachers using google mail with the email address firstname.lastname@winnsboroisd.org
