Mrs. Solis' 3rd Grade Class
April 11-15, 2016
What we are learning next week:
Math- Students will finish the unit on 2-digit by a 1-digit multiplication. We will have the Unit 16 math DCA on Wednesday over this unit. Our next unit will start on Thursday. Students will be applying computation skills to weight and volume.
Reading- Students will be studying character development and using text evidence to support their change or growth. We are also continuing to practice reading comprehension using reading and test taking strategies.
Science- Students will continue to explore with force, motion, and work. As a class, we’ll be creating our own pulley which is a simple machine. They will have the Unit 10 test on Friday. A review will be worked on in class on Wednesday and Thursday.
Writing-Students will complete their persuasive piece. This will include drafting, editing and revising.
It's Allergy Season!
Students with seasonal allergies will need a doctor’s note in order to stay inside from
recess. They will be able to quietly read or draw due to teachers working during that time.
**Allergy masks might help if you want your child to play. If there is a doctor’s note and it’s a high allergen day, please alert your child’s teacher that indoor activities will be needed.
