Medication Pick Up
A parent or guardian will need to stop in the school office to pick up these medications. If medications remain at the school after May 27th, they will be disposed of by the school nurse.

The cost is $55 (or $60 if you want it personalized with a name on the cover). Senior pictures and senior baby pictures are due by May 1st and can be emailed at any time before that to: centralyearbook@mygfschools.org
If you are not sure if you have ordered a yearbook, you can check the list outside Mr. Berglund’s room (#22). Yearbooks cannot be purchased through the main office, all purchases must be made through the link above.
ND Scholarships
All seniors who meet the qualifications for the ND Scholarship may submit an application to DPI. Even if you are not attending a North Dakota school right away, you are encouraged to submit an application because the scholarship can be deferred. Please see the scholarship listing on the counseling page under “About Our School” on the GFC website. Look on the listing for recently added scholarships like the Altru and Northland Community and Technical College Scholarships.

Grand March Spectator Information
Grand March Session 1: The doors will open for spectators at 5:45 and close at 6:00. Spectators must be masked and remain seated with their family units until the session ends. Session 1 will start at 6:00 p.m. and end at 6:45 p.m. All spectators and session 1 grand march participants must exit the building at the end of session 1.
Grand March Session 2: The doors will open for spectators at 7:00 and close at 7:15. Spectators must be masked and remain seated with their family units until the session ends. Session 2 will start at 7:15 p.m. and end at 8:00 p.m. Spectators and grand march participants must exit immediately following the conclusion of grand march so students and staff can transition to the Alerus Center.
Prom expectations for attendees:
- Behavior - All school events are alcohol and drug free. Students will be required to take a breathalyzer test at the door.
- Appropriate Dancing - Students are required to dance appropriately....period!!!
- Boy's Formal Dress - Formal prom attire may be classified as a tuxedo or dress suit, including a tie, bow tie, turtleneck, a shirt, or priest collar shirt, which may include a vest or cummerbund. Dress slacks, dress shirt, and tie are also appropriate attire.
- Girl's Formal Dress - Traditionally formal dresses may be strapless or may feature spaghetti straps. Bare or open backs are acceptable; however excessively bare stomachs or bare midriffs are not permitted. Under garments should not be visible. See-through apparel and gowns or dresses with slits that are above the mid-thigh area are not permitted. Garments that are extremely tight or extremely low-cut are also unacceptable. Dresses with glitter on them will not be permitted.
- Formal attire is required for admittance to the dance and must be worn at all times.
Prom is a school event and the same rules listed in the Student Handbook will apply.

Gearing Up for GFC Post Prom 2021
Grand Forks Centrals Post Prom Event will be held on Saturday May 8th at Northern Air Family Fun Center. The event will run from 11:30 pm-2:30am. Doors close at 12:30am. Post Prom is a drug and alcohol free event with a zero tolerance policy set by the GF Public Schools. All Juniors and Seniors, whether they attend prom or not are invited to the Post Prom Event. Sophomores and freshmen who are the guest of upperclassmen at prom ARE welcome to attend the Post Prom Event. Due to COVID-19, the Post Prom Event will be FREE this year only! You and your guest MUST be signed up to attend by Friday May 7th. Unfortunately we will not be able to accept unregistered students the day of the event. A one-time Northern Air waiver MUST be signed by a parent/guardian in order to attend. The waiver and sign-up form can be located at this link. http://bit.ly/postprom2021

2021 Graduation Information
The graduation ceremony for the Class of 2021 is scheduled for Sunday, May 30, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at the Alerus Center.
Prior to graduation, there are a number of items that need to be completed. The following is a checklist of all obligations that must be met by each student before a diploma will be presented.
- All course work, tests, and detention time must be completed before Wednesday, May 26, 2021.
- All independent study, online and correspondence course work must be completed by Friday, May 14, 2021.
- A “Senior Survey” will be sent out in early May. This must be completed by Tuesday, May 25, 2021. Early graduates will be notified about the procedure to use in completing the survey.
- All bills must be paid (media center, athletic equipment, lab equipment, book damages, etc…) by Friday, May 14, 2021.
- The final day of classes for seniors will be Tuesday, May 25, 2021.
- Graduation practice is scheduled for Friday, May 28, 2021 at 8:00 a.m. at the Alerus Center. All graduating seniors must attend the practice session.
- Caps and gowns were ordered in November and will be distributed from the Principal’s Office on Wednesday, May 19, 2021.
- Senior pictures for the yearbook are due by May 1st and can be turned in at any time before that date to Mr. Berglund or can be e-mailed to: centralyearbook@mygfschools.org.
- If a student desires to receive a diploma without going through the graduation ceremony; he/she must notify Mr. Strandell prior to Friday, May 14, 2021.
- All students who participate in the commencement ceremony are expected to dress in an appropriate manner. The cap, gown, tassel, and shoes are all required. No other personal additions will be allowed other than school-issued stoles of honor without prior permission from administration.
Only students who have completed their graduation requirements will participate in the graduation ceremony. The list of students who will be participating in the ceremony will be finalized on Wednesday, May 26, 2021.
