A Message from Curtis Principal, Sonya Pitcock

Cougar parents,

During Red Ribbon Week, we encourage all students to dress up and show their support for making good choices when it comes to avoiding drugs and alcohol. Please help us make sure our dress up days stay within dress code guidelines. Our Tracks classes will be providing lessons and PTA has provided a great speaker who will join us virtually and share a message with our students. We know kids have heard this message many times, but as life events change so do their perspectives, so we continue to remind students that they are supported and cared about by so many and we are here to help them. Special thanks to our PTA for providing this great resource to our school!

On another note, we are very happy of what a good job our students are doing with our new safety measures at school. We encourage you to continue to remind them to not high five, hand shake or hug during this time. We are reminding them here, but it’s what middle schoolers do, so we have to help them keep this in the forefront of their thoughts for their safety.

Thanks for all the support from home this year! Our teachers feel your partnership and are working hard to support your students each day!

Respectfully,

Sonya Pitcock

PICTURE RETAKES: OCTOBER 30

Curtis MS will be offering picture retakes on October 30th for all in person students during school as well as virtual students only from 4:00 PM – 6:30 PM. Picture retakes are for the following reasons only:

  1. Student did not have a picture taken on September 18th.
  2. Student/parents have purchased a picture package and the photo has mistakes or errors.

If you are a student that was in-person during the first quarter and had your picture taken on September 18th while at school, you do not need to have your picture retaken on October 30th.

We will not have a sign up genius for the virtual photos, the window for virtual student pictures is open 4:00 PM through 6:30 PM.

Please understand that if your student has not had their picture taken on September 18th and does not come to this retake option, then they will not appear in this years yearbook.
