CCRA'S January Program 2016

Tech Tools for Literacy and Learning

Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at the Chester County Intermediate Unit

"Tech Tools for Literacy and Learning: Choosing and Using Technology with Struggling Learners" will be presented by Eric MacDonald. Eric is currently the International Literacy Association's State Coordinator for Pennsylvania. He is also a classroom teacher and Assistant Middle School Head at The Benchmark School in Media. Eric has served as the Keystone State Reading Association's President from 1999 - 2000.

Program Description

Technology provides much promise for achieving the goal of students becoming successful, efficient, and strategic learners. This is particularly true for struggling learners. Yet technology integration can be quite overwhelming for teachers. Several suggestions for successfully choosing and using technology will be shared. Specific tech tools will also be highlighted and participant sharing of additional tools will be encouraged. (Act 48 Hours: 2)
