Online Resources

Infohio's IMatrix

If you haven't used Infohio's IMatrix, click on the link below and check it out. IMatrix helps educators find resources to support inquiry-based instructional practices. The matrix allows educators to search based on grade level, subject, and the six dimensions of inquiry: questioning, locating information, evaluating information, applying information, sharing knowledge, and reflecting. This is a very valuable resource.

GCHS Library Website

All of the school's online databases can be accessed through the library website. Click on the "Database" page and click on the database of your choice. There are handouts in the library with descriptions and passwords of all of the databases. When students are researching for class it is a great idea to have them use the databases. The information is reliable, there are tons of different types of sources (references, magazines, newspapers, academic journals, critical essays, primary sources, etc.), and the source citation is included.
