Beauty counter Launch Party

where beauty meets safety

Put Truth Back Into Beauty

Most of us try our best to lead a healthy life, we try to buy organic, we exercise (maybe not as often as we'd like to), but how many of us are aware of the toxic chemicals that are in our everyday products? Our skin absorbs 80% of what we put on it. Studies show that women put on 7-20 products everyday, week after week, year after year. A tiny amount of a toxic chemical in multiple products can add up over a lifetime . And decades of studies indicate that serious health issues (including, but not limited to asthma, learning disabilities, cancer and infertility) are on the rise, and due in some part to our ongoing exposure to toxic chemicals.

The most shocking thing? The FDA is not doing their job in protecting us. The last time a federal law was passed to regulate the ingredients used in personal care products was in 1938! The European Union has spent the past two decades banning or restricting the use of 1,300 ingredients; while the US has only banned 11!

Enter Beautycounter. Here is a company with a mission to get safe products into the hands of everyone. Beautycounter has created a never list banning more than 1,500 ingredients. 1 in 2 men and 1 in 3 women in the US will be diagnosed with cancer; it's time for us to take a stand and make a change.

I decided to join Beautycounter because I wanted to be part of a movement that will uncover the ugly truth behind the cosmetic industry and give us all safe alternatives. As you all know, I am obsessed with all things healthy and safe. But over the years I have tried just about every product out there and all leave me feeling a little blah... Luckily I had a chance to sample Beautycounter and have been obsessed ever since. Not only are the products safe, they actually WORK! So please join me for my Beautycounter launch (and feel free to bring any friends that might be interested as well) and learn, sample, mingle and nosh.

(There will be someone on hand to help you color match the makeup.)
