Peek at the Week
April 9-13, 2018
Way to go!
Congratulations to our French and Spanish Language Acquisition students for their outstanding awards in the Foreign Language Association of Georgia (FLAG) Middle and High School Spoken Language Contest! Our Shiloh Middle School students competed at McEachern High School on Saturday, March 24th. They were rated on their conversational skills as they spoke to language teachers. Our students really showed off their French and Spanish skills and all brought home awards!!! Congratulations to these hardworking students and their Language Acquisition teachers!!
New Principal
We are elated to welcome our new principal Dr. Tereka Williams. Dr. Williams will officially begin here at Shiloh after Spring Break but has been in our building this week getting acclimated. We know that with her guidance, we will finish this year strong. Please click below to see a message from Dr. Williams.

Teacher Appreciation
Teacher Appreciation week is May 7-11. Tuesday May 8 is National Teacher Appreciation Day so we will use this day for Parents to show their appreciation to the Teachers. We will have a dessert bar for the teachers and would like for you to bring in your favorite dessert to share with our teachers. Please look for a sign up sheet to come out soon.
We did it again!
Guess who has been recognized for their significant progress in improving achievement gaps in K-12 Title I schools for a 2nd year in a row? None other than Shiloh Middle! We are the only Gwinnett County Title I middle school who made the list of High Progress Reward Schools! Way to go Shiloh!

Cell Phone/Device Usage
The expectation at Shiloh Middle is that all cell phones and devices be kept inside of the student's backpack. All backpacks should be keep on the bag hooks in the classroom or other teacher designated area. Students should not have a cell phone/devices on their person while in the classroom, cafeteria, or bathroom. All cell phones/devices should remain inside of a backpack during transition. Any student that does not adhere to these expectations will have their cell phone/device confiscated. Parents will have to come to the school to retrieve confiscated cell phones/devices from an administrator. Students will be permitted to use cell phones/devices during class for instructional purposes only. Thank you for your support in our effort to keep all students focused on academics.
What to do if you have a concern.
We value our parents and always want to hear your concerns. In an effort to ensure that all of your concerns are addressed in a timely manner, we ask that you follow these procedures:
- Contact your child's teacher to voice your concern. Teachers can be emailed through the parent portal. Please allow 24 to 48 hours for them to respond. Teachers are not available by phone during the day. The best way to contact them is through email.
