Appearance & Classification
A ring tailed lemur is too cute! The head and body size is 18 inches. The tail can be up to 22 inches. The ring tailed lemur weighs 5-75 pounds. The size is close to a 6 foot man from end to end. The colors of my animal are: black, white, light brown and gray. The skin cover is thick and short but hairy. My animal's interesting body feature is the white and black ringed tail. Obviously! This animal is a mammal.
Habitat Information
I would love to go to the lemur's habitat. My animal only lives on the African island of Madagascar. The weather is like a dry forest and a tropical jungle. A lemur's home is like trees in the forest and jungle.
Predator & Prey
The ring tailed lemur has a lot of enemies! The enemies of a lemur are; a Fossa [a cat] Hawk, and Wild dogs. The lemur protects itself by grabbing the branches with their sharp claws to get away from the fossa, hawks, and wild dogs. My animal eats many different foods. My animal eats leaves, flowers, tree bark, and sap. My animal finds its food in the trees. My animal is a herbivore. Aherbivore is a plant eater.
