West Suburban Summer School & Bright Spotting Join Forces!
West Suburban Summer School is a program of Intermediate District 287's Gifted Education Services. The program serves identified gifted and talented students in member districts and beyond. Instructors design classes in their area of expertise to provide gifted students with unique experiences to challenge their abilities.
Intermediate District 287's Gifted Education Services Office is offering a new opportunity for member district gifted families! These services are just for you, the parent of a gifted child and are offered in partnership with Bright Spotting's co-founders, Kris Happe and Jill Hauwiller.
Bright Spotting was created to fill an existing gap in gifted school programs. Supporting gifted families is part of the national gifted educational programming standards. Bright Spotting can help you uncover positive solutions for common roadblocks when educating a gifted child, discover ways your gifted family can thrive as a unit & individually, and better equip you with crucial information about being gifted in society today.
Bright Spotting will support you in a way that helps you feel validated, respected and informed regarding gifted hot topics that matter for school-aged children. Most importantly, we hope to connect you with other parents of gifted children.
Bright Spotting is proud to present our first offering for District 287 families: Gifted Gatherings!
