Process of Phototsynthesis
By Amanda Rutzen-Period 6
Explanation of Phototsynthesis
Photosynthesis is a process in green plants and certain other organisms by which carbohydrates are synthesized from carbon dioxide and water In green plants, light energy is captured by chlorophyll in the chloroplasts of the leaves and used to convert water, carbon dioxide, and minerals into oxygen.
Stomata!
The stomata is a small opening in the leaf that allows exchange of gases, it supplies water and minerals to the entire plant!
Photosynthesis!
Photosynthesis is the process in which plants make their own food!
The Sun!
The sun is one of the 3 most important things the plant needs for photosynthesis. The other two being water and CO2 (Carbon Dioxide)
Compounds!
There are many different compounds in photosynthesis!
For example:
-CO2 which is Carbon Dioxide and its what the plants take in.
-O2 which is Oxygen and thats what the plants release so us humans and other organisms can breathe.
-C6H12O6 which is Glucose and glucose is a simple sugar or also known as the plants food.
