The Cedar Ridge Weekly
From the E-desk of Dr. Carlos Ramirez, August 9th
Message from Dr. Ramirez
Although this was a summer unlike any other, I hope you were able to enjoy your vacation with family and friends. The CRHS staff has been busy preparing for a new school year and we are excited!
New this year will be this e-newsletter, which is called "The Cedar Ridge Weekly'. This will be tailored to students and parents. As we move into a remote learning environment, ongoing and timely communication will be key in ensuring a quality educational experience for all. The weekly e-newsletter will be sent to students through the district email and to parents and guardians through Blackboard Connect every Sunday night.
We have several parent meetings scheduled this week. There will be a series of 9th Grade Orientations and our first-ever online Open House/Back-to-School-Night is scheduled before students step into their virtual classrooms. See the sections below for details. If you missed last week's parent meeting, you may view it here: https://www.orangecountyfirst.com/Domain/19. Also, all meetings will be recorded with links placed on our website for review.
The first day of school is Monday, August 17th. Students will be expected to follow the bell schedule, attend class, and complete work as grades will count. Student schedules can be found in Canvas and PowerSchool. Counselors will be back at school on Wednesday, August 12th, and will be available to answer questions and offer support.
I look forward to having a great school opening and school year.
Yours,
Dr. Ramirez
