Principal's Message - Busy Month of October
We are excited about our events for the month of October: Winter Gear Swaps, Pastries and Principal, Fall Festival and Parent/ Teacher Conferences.
On October 6th, at 1:15pm, we have an Evacuation Drill To SAS. This Off-Site Drill gives us a warm place to rally when it is too cold to wait outside. Thank you SAS.
Pastries and Principal - Oct 7th, 8am, in the Commons. We will review questions about student progress and when academic progress needs extra attention.
Winter Gear Swap - families turn in their used but new winter gear (no hats) during the week of Oct 3-7. The swap is on Friday, Oct 7th.
The PTA Giving Tree Information - requests need to be returned by Oct 11th so they can be put up on the tree for the Oct 14th Fall Festival.
Classroom Gift Basket Silent Auction - for the Fall Festival on Oct 14th. Your classroom teacher will be asking for donations. The funds raised support classroom activities.
Fall Festival - Oct 14th, 5-7pm. Great time to celebrate the season before it gets to cold or busy. Stop by for lots of fun. Thank you PTA.
- Oct 31st & Nov 1st - Parent/ Teacher Conferences
- Nov 4th - ELL Potluck 4-5:30pm in our Commons.
Nov 11th - PD - NO SCHOOL
It is time for students to start wearing winter gear. Check-out this guideline for what to wear. On rainy or too cold of days, students have In-Door Recess. This includes the morning recess.
If the weather conditions are looking difficult, consult the Inclement Weather Decision Making flowchart. This helps us all understand the process for delaying or canceling school.
Remember Schoolcafe.com for your school menu and application for free/ reduced meals. These applications are what fund our Title I educational programs.
Keep in touch.
