Summer 2021

Summer to do list to be ready for the fall:

1) Get signed up for Parent Portal! It is the best way to keep track of student's attendance, student's grades, and paying fees. Already signed up? Make sure your contact information is correct!

2) Sign-up for a Covid-19 vaccine - Mather will have 44 appointments available on July 7

3) Go see the doctor/health clinic and get your physical. Make sure you are up to date on all of your shots! Bring your records to Mather.

4) Attend Mather Orientation the week of August 16th. Each class has a specific day to attend! Email and robocall reminders will be sent in August!

5) Remember, school starts on August 30th! It is a week earlier - don't be late!

Mather High School Summer Hours

Mather High School will be closed from June 24th - July 6th. Our main office will be closed during this time. Please send an email to contactmather@cps.edu and someone will be able to respond.


Registration will continue to be done virtually. Please send an email to contactmather@cps.edu with any questions.

Summer School

Summer Credit Recovery is occurring July 6-August 6, from 9-11:30 AM.


The doors to Mather will open at 8:30 AM. Breakfast and lunch will be available.


Mather is offering the following classes: English 1, English 2, US History, Spanish 1/2, and Geometry.


All classes are in person; there is no remote option.


If your student needs a different class, they are welcome to sign up for another school site with their counselor.


All registrations are through counselors.


Remember, students may not be absent more than twice in order to receive credit.


Students will earn .5 credits or one semester.


We encourage your student to take advantage of this opportunity to get caught up!

Freshman and Sophomore Connection

The Classes of 2025 and 2024 are welcome to join us for 4 weeks this summer to learn more about Mather, meet classmates and teachers, and most importantly have FUN!


Dates: July 16 to August 13

Times: 10am - 2pm

Lunch will be available for all students

COVID - 19 Vaccines Available for Mather Students

Mather has partnered with Advocate and Ronald McDonald Car-a-van to provide up to 44 students with the opportunity to get the Covid-19 vaccine. See below for more information:


  • Wednesday, July 7, 2021 (1st Dose)
  • Wednesday, July 28th, 2021 (2nd Dose)
  • 9:00 - 12:00 pm appointments
  • 12:30 - 3:00 pm appointments

Information will be available soon to sign-up for appointments.
