TSI:
- Seniors not TSI complete
- Hallsville High School will pay for the first administration of the assessment. If a second administration is required, the student/family will be responsible for the fee of $10 per test in December.
- If they do not meet these levels, we will schedule a time during one of your student's elective courses in the Spring when he/she will receive remediation for a TSI-A retest. This could result in losing flex time.
We encourage your child to prepare for this exam prior to the first administration by going to the USATestprep website. This program has proven to increase student success on the TSI-A.
To access USATestprep:
1. Visit: https://www.usatestprep.com/Member-Login
2. Enter the Account ID: TVAH82
3. Enter Username: studentID with a lowercase h at the end

HHS Senior Parent Night- PowerPoint
From the Yearbook Staff:
2017-2018 Yearbooks for last year’s 9-11 graders are available for pickup in H208 during last period (5th or 9th) only. Please do not ask your student interrupt classes during other times. All books MUST be signed for by the student or a family member.
2018 Graduates - Senior yearbooks are available for pick up at the front desk only. All books MUST be signed for by the graduate or a family member.
ALL 2017-2018 yearbooks were pre-sold and there are no extras available for purchase.
2018-2019 Yearbook sales have not begun at the high school and prices have not been set at this time. The current plan is to begin sales on Dec 3rd. All sales will be online only and we will only order the quantity sold. Please do not forget to order online once sales begin.
SCHOOL PICTURES:
School Picture (9-11 grade) RETAKES will be on Nov. 8th in the small band hall. ONLY students who are returning their picture packet for a retake and those who did not have a picture done earlier this semester will be photographed. Please make sure your student is always in dress code, especially on picture day. This is the LAST opportunity 9-11 graders will have to get their yearbook picture taken.
2019 SENIOR PICTURES:
MAKEUP DAY will be Nov 15 for Cap & Gown and Tux/Drape (provided by photographer) pictures for 2019 graduates. ONLY those who did not attend their summer appointment at the school or who have not gone to the Prestige Studio in Tyler will be photographed on Nov 15. We will have a list of those seniors and will call them out of class. ONLY cap & gown and tux/drape pictures will be done at the school. Seniors may still schedule an individual appointment to go to the Prestige Studio in Tyler for their senior portraits.
Senior cap & gown and tux/drape RETAKES will be held this Spring on a date to be determined. This will be the final opportunity for those not happy with their cap & gown or tux/drape portrait to be photographed for the 2018-2019 yearbook.
As always, ONLY portraits done by Lifetouch/Prestige will be used in the student sections of the yearbook.
YEARBOOK ADVERTISING:
Yearbook will be trying a new method for Senior Ad and all other advertising sales for the 2018-2019 yearbook. You will be able to purchase your ad space online and will be able to build the ad yourself. This will eliminate the need for parents to send in pictures of their student. Notification will be sent out when ad sales begin. The yearbook staff will review each ad to insure proper content.
BUSINESS OWNERS (Sponsorship):
Rather than placing an ad we would ask that you please consider making a donation to the HHS yearbook. As a former businessman, I was always happy to support local yearbooks, but knew my ad was rarely going to be viewed by those using my services. In an effort to free up more pages for the students we would like you to consider being listed on a Business or Individual SPONSORSHIP page. If you are interested in being a sponsor or have suggestions please feel free to email me at mdimmitt@hisd.com. More information on this will be posted soon.
