The Daily Mail- Verona Special
The Fourth & Fatal Feud!
29th of July 1594
Yesterday, the people of Verona, witnessed two deaths and a banishment.
Yesterday in the main square of fair Verona, at 12 noon, Verona's citizens witnessed a horrific scene. Two deaths, one of a Capulet and one of a Montague. Yesterday, was the fourth brawl Verona has witnessed. The third feud, caused the Prince, to declare "who ever is responsible for starting the next brawl, they shall be given the death penalty". This was the fourth brawl, but both who could have faced the penalty died in the center of the bloodbath.
Romeo Montague has been banished!
Sadly Tybalt Capulet has lost his life.
Also Mercutio has sadly died.
Interview with a Capulet-
"I am ever so sorry for your loss, but can you please explain to me what happened?"
"Thank you, it has been a hard couple of hours for us. But we will move on. It was around 12 noon, and we had just met, after we all woke from our afternoon siesta. We decided to take a walk, and we decided to head to the main square of Verona. There we saw, Mercutio and Benvolio bathing in the water fountains. They weren't going to move, it was obvious. Mercutio started to provoke Tybalt, and everyone knows he has a short temper. Mercutio lashed out, and Romeo tried to stop the fight. Mercutio was killed underneath Romeo's arm. Tybalt began to laugh and walked off. The Montagu's were furious, especially Romeo. Romeo ran after Tybalt where we all experienced another brawl. Romeo, killed Tybalt. He has now been banished. In my opinion, serves him right! But sadly one of our close family members, has lost his life to a Montague."
Interview with a Montague-
"It was a very distressing scene, it must be said. This feud, resulted in, one of a innocent young man, and one of a hot tempered boy. It was around 12 noon, and it was absolutely boiling. My dear friends Benvolio and Mercutio, God rest his soul, were down in the water fountains, when the dreaded Capulets, came along. They started to wind Mercutio up. But firstly Tybalt was asking where Romeo was. No one knew! But it was obvious, that he wanted to fight our dear friend. But Mercutio, took Romeos place. The brawl was a fake fight, until Romeo tried to seperate them. That's when Mercutio, sadly died. It was tragic, and to make it worse, it was underneath Romeo's arm. Mercutio fell to the floor, and the Capulets started to disappear. Romeo was furious, and ran after Tybalt. The scond brawl only lasted a couple of minutes. The results were tragic. Romeo has been banished from Verona. But also, Tybalt was killed. Dear Romeo, is now thought as a murderer. This will be a name that will have to be removed, as soon as possible."
Everyone is distraught.
This was the deadly brawl between, Tybalt and Romeo.
This is Tybalt and Mercutio, who have now both died.
Interview with the prince of Verona-
"There have been two awful deaths, and a banishment. It seems as though, the death penalty is no longer needed. The two hot-headed boys, are no longer with us sadly. Hopefully, this will teach both families a lesson. That's all for today."
An eye witness account-
"It was one of the hardest brawls that I've encountered. It was a joke to begin, then it got out of hand, as usual. It all started at around noon, it was very very hot, and the Montague's decided to bathe. When the Capulets arrived, it was only Mercutio in the water. Tybalt was asking for Romeo, no one knew where he was. Therefore Mercutio, said that he would fight him as a replacement. The 'fight' began, everyone was laughing. It was nothing serious until, Mercutio stared making a fool of Tybalt. Tybalt had the chance to kill Mercutio, but he didn't take it, and they carried on. All was well, until Romeo tried to stop them. Mercutio was sadly killed underneath Romeo's arm. It was devastating. Tybalt walked away, he looked distraught by what he had done, but he walked away laughing to cover up. Romeo ran after him. That's when the brawl began to get serious. The second brawl, only lasted a couple of minutes. But the results were devastating for both families. Romeo killed Tybalt. Both families ran home to share the news, and then they both rushed back to the Prince, to tell him of the devastating news. The Price banished Romeo. And that was all."
