Welcome to the New Year!
Hello and welcome back! We hope you all had a great holiday and are ready to kick off the next half of the year! Below are some highlights from December. We hope you enjoy.
Dramatization
Norman High and Alcott Middle School speech and drama put on "Holiday Reader's Theater" Friday, Dec. 1. The groups were under the direction of teachers Kasey Harrison and Leah Mockenhaupt.

Hallelujah
Norman North choirs perform "Hallelujah Chorus" in the lobby of the Nancy O'Brian for Performing Arts Center.

Marching On
Norman North and Norman High bands combine to perform at the Norman Main Street Christmas Holiday Parade, "Christmas In Lights" on Saturday, Dec. 9. The parade took place in downtown Norman, stretching across Main Street beginning at Pickard Ave.

Visions of Sugar Plums
Lakeview Kindergarten and first graders perform "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" Tuesday, Dec. 12 as part of "The Nutcracker," under the direction of music teacher Jordan Nguyen.

Kennedy Carolers
Fifth grade Kennedy honor choir students pay a visit to superintendent Dr. Nick Migliorino Wednesday, Dec. 13 at the Administrative Services Center as part of their community tour. Watch a clip of their performance below.

Wilson Wildcats
The Wilson elementary honor choir warms up before their performance at Norman Public library on Friday, Dec. 1. The group of 40 is made up of volunteer fourth and fifth graders under the direction of Sarah Bishop.

Young Men Sing
Norman students from grades 6-12 gather at OU for the annual Young Men's Vocal Workshop Friday, Dec. 8. The workshop serves as a way to encourage and promote male participation in chorus. Members of the OU choral faculty serve as clinicians while a committee of music education students assist throughout the event.

Home for the Holidays
Norman High School jazz choir performs at the Norman Downtowner's Association meeting Thursday, Dec. 14. The group gathered at the historical Moore-Lindsay house located on Acres and Peters.

Irving Middle School orchestra performs their rendition of "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" at their Winter concert on Wednesday, Dec. 13 under the direction of Sarah Chan.

NNHS jazz band performs side-by-side with UCO Monday, Dec. 4 at the UCO Jazz Lab in Edmond.
