Dear Parents,

The first week of May was off to a busy start! The children came to school on Tuesday dressed for spring pictures. They were beaming, lighting up the hallways with their big smiles ready for pictures. While the hallways at Allgrove were bright were bright with happy children, the weather outside was not too favorable. The weather looked weary on Tuesday but the rain held off and the kindergarten students were able to visit the post office and mail their letters. They were so proud to purchase their own stamp and send their letters off for a special delivery! The Jake's Wayback fundraiser was a success and the PTO extends a big thank you to everyone who participated.

May 2nd – Jake’s Wayback PTO Fundraiser - Consider taking a night off from cooking and come out to Jake’s Wayback in Granby to help support the PTO. The PTO will receive 10% from the entire day’s sales. There is no designated time and no flyer or coupon is needed. The restaurant is open from 10:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. with take-out too. We hope to see you there!

On May 5th we will be welcoming our incoming kindergarteners, the Class of 2029, and their parents for Kindergarten Orientation. While the teachers work with the children, the office staff will spend time with the parents sharing important information about the transition to kindergarten and Allgrove School. Everyone will enjoy the bus ride at the end of each session.

Allgrove Blooms Readers – Please take a moment to read about this great school community project! Thank you in advance for supporting this endeavor.

Choice Grant Afterschool Programs – Children have shown interest in our afterschool program. We will be sending acceptance/regret notices home with students next week. Preference will be given to the children who have not had the opportunity to participate in previous programs this year.

Hartford Family Math Night will be held on Wednesday, May 18th from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. A flyer went home last week. If you are interested in attending, please return the slip on Monday.

All links to the notices can be found below for your convenience.
