EARLY LIFE
Born on February 17, 1963, in Brooklyn, New York. Growing up Michael had 3 brothers, two of them fought him for everything and the oldest served time in the military.He also has a younger sister. When Michael was a sophomore in high school he got kicked off of the varsity team for someone named Leroy Smith because he did not give it his all and was quite undersized. The following summer he has continuously practiced and grew about 4 inches in height! As the continuous training has help his point average per game and he was later selected to the McDonald's All-American Team as a senior.
COLLEGE
Michael went to college at the University of North Carolina. Something that made him want to be more successful is when his coach in college one of the greatest coaches of all time coach Dean Smith had named 4 starters on a sports illustrated issue but didn't name him. Michael was named Freshman of the year his first year in college and won a college national championship in 1982 and became Naismith and Wooden college player of the year earlier in 1984. After winning those awards he decided to enter the 1984 NBA draft.
LIFE IN THE NBA
Michael was drafted for the Chicago Bulls and was instantaneously a major competitor averaging 28.2 points per game with several occasions having scored over 40 points. Later on he was selected for the NBA All-Star Game and was name Rookie of the year for his amazing achievements. In his 1986-87 season He became the first player since Wilt Chamberlin to score more than 3,000 points in a single season! Later on he achieved five regular season MVP awards, six NBA championships, six NBA finals MVP awards, three All-Star game MVP awards, and a defensive player of the year award. He later on announced retirement at the age of 33.
IM BACK
The time of March 18, 1995 after Michael tried baseball he returned to the NBA and he lead the Bulls to three more NBA Chanpionship games and was historically name the NBA's greatest player of all-time. He renounced retirement in January 13, 1999 stating he's sure he won't play basketball again.
IM BACK......AGAIN
Now on September 25, 2001 he returned again to the NBA and was a member of the Washington Wizards but he was missing little of his old talent averaging 20 points per game in 02-03 but he was still a solid player. Finally he retired the following season of 02-03.
