Valentine's Day Celebration
There was a lot of love in the air during our Valentine's Day celebrations. Everyone looked adorable in their festive dress and had a blast exchanging treats with their classmates!
A Look Ahead
School Closed 2/15 and 2/18
Please note that our campus will be closed Friday, February 15th and Monday, February 18th in observance of Presidents' Day weekend. Enjoy this time with your family and friends and we will see you back at school on Tuesday, February 19th.
$1 Jeans Day! 2/21
We are so excited to announce our second Dollar Jean Day! February is National Cancer Prevention Month, so we will be raising money for The City of Hope. All students and staff will be able to wear jeans with free dress with a minimum donation of $1 to this special cause.
Do not hesitate to reach out to Miss Maltas with any questions and don't forget to wear jeans and bring your donations on Thursday, February 21st!
Citizen of the Month Awards 2/22
On Friday, February 22nd, we will hold our Citizen of the Month awards at 8am on the yard (weather permitting)!
Throughout the month of February, students have been learning what it means to display perseverance; working towards a goal despite being faced with challenges. Each student votes for someone in their class who has displayed these qualities and believes they should be recognized.
Be sure to ask your child about how they can persevere through challenging situations. Each month, AMA will focus on a different trait based off the 7 habits of effective leaders.
The trait we will focus on in March is citizenship; making your school, community, and the world a better place.
Mrs. Thompson's first grade class will also be performing on this day at 2:00pm in the MPR.
All Citizen of the Month Awards are formal dress days.
Dr. Seuss' Birthday- Wacky Free Dress 3/1
In honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday on Friday, March 1st, we welcome all of our students to come to school dressed up in wacky outfits and crazy hairstyles or as a Dr. Seuss character!
As Dr. Seuss would say...
"You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself in any direction you choose."
-Dr. Seuss
...the possibilities are endless!
