Cultural Divergence
Cultural divergence can occur when members of a culture move away from their core values and hook onto something else. Also, mountains and physical features can affect how people develop with their cultures. They may develop differently. In example would be how fast food restaurants are becoming very popular. McDonald's is all over the United States and in other countries too.
Cultural Convergence/ Globalization of Democracy
In around 1989, many countries loved the idea of having a democracy, but many were communist. Democracy started to soon develop, then communist dictators failed, and were replaced with democratic governments.
Cultural Convergence/ Globalization of English
English is a very popular language, in which over half a billion people speak. The internet has assisted in the spread of the English language. As more and more people use the internet, they are influenced by the English language.
Cultural Convergence/ Globalization of Technology
People used to listen to music on the radio, but now a majority of people use their iPhones or iPods. It has evolved into that. iPhones have evolved very quickly and now, people use them for everything.
Cultural Convergence/ Globalization of Sports
Sports provide a universal language that may solve many things. Examples include the Olympics or the World Cup for soccer. Many different people come together to watch countries compete from all over the world.
