Happy Homecoming Week!

Good afternoon Owl leaders!
First, congrats to Temple MCPB and the thousands of volunteers on breaking the record for most peanut butter and jelly sandwiches made in an hour. The Guiness Book of World Records was on hand to verify the world record. The TU Leadership LLC represented the department with a table full of first year volunteers.
Second, it's Homecoming Week! There are exciting events and activities on campus. Please enjoy the week and the upcoming game against the Charlotte 49ers.
Last, we are hosting a powerful documentary that represents the intersection of issues that are important to our campus. Please join me, our office and others on campus for the No Mas Bebes documentary. We want to hear your thoughts on immigration, women's reproductive rights, and the Civil Rights Movement in the Latinx community.
Have a great week!
Lauren

Our Next Event Is...
"No Más Bebés" Documentary Screening
- Wednesday, September 28th, 5:30-7:30 in Student Center Room 200A (2 leadership hours).
In the late 1960s and early 1970s, the Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center sterilized Mexican immigrant women while they gave birth. A documentary about the rights of women, immigrants and citizens, "No Más Bebés" shows the pain these women went through and how they used that pain to file a landmark civil rights lawsuit "Madrigal v. Quilligan". Join us as we discuss women's rights, immigrants' rights and what this story says about our world today. Food will be provided.
