Virtual Open House-Sat. 2/6, 10:00 - 11:30 am

We look forward to hosting prospective families interested in learning more about AIS at our next Virtual Open House tomorrow. Current families, teachers, and alumni are encouraged to attend and help us share what makes AIS such a unique community and place of learning. We will host guests from X to X. We hope you can sign on to welcome them to our community.

Tomorrow is the Final Day for Gala Tickets-Sat., 2/6/21

We are moving our annual celebration online this year and look forward to celebrating virtually as a community on February 20, 2021 beginning at 6:30 pm. Tickets and sponsorships on sale until 2/6.

The gala will include a silent auction filled with amazing experiences and swag. This year, our live auction will include great vacation packages, and our raise the paddle donation portion supports scholarship funding for our faculty's children.

We have some great sponsorship benefits including charcuterie platters with homemade jams, crackers, and bread; bottles of wine; and warm Tiff's Treats to enjoy from home while participating in our program! Plus, we will have a mixology demonstration to go along with our Gala signature cocktail kit, music from La Vie en Rose & The Watters, and more! This year, alumni, friends, and family members across the country or globe can also join in through our Friends of AIS ticket, so thank you for helping to spread the word.

Black History Month: AIS Library Donations

Each week during 2021 Black History Month, Mr. Jacques will be donating six books to the AIS Library. These texts will focus on Black history not just in the United States, but the history of the Black diaspora in nations across the globe. This week, the following titles have been donated to the AIS Library: The Rock and the River (ages 9-14); Lion Island: Cuba’s Warrior of Words (ages 10+); Pelé, King of Soccer/El rey del fútbol (ages 4-8); Eight Days: A Story of Haiti (ages 4-7); The Mighty Miss Malone (ages 9-12); Freedom Walkers: The Story of the Montgomery Bus Boycott (ages 10-13). To learn more about these texts and some of the selection criteria, visit this AIS Black History Month Literature webpage.

Family Pictures

Be on the lookout for an email in the next few days about Family Picture Days at AIS next week. Since we won't all be together in person at the Gala, we will be putting a fun slideshow together of our community in front of our gala banner outside of school, so we can incorporate this into our program! Stay tuned for more details about how to participate.
