π Alumni Highlight π©π½βπ
This month we feature Ms. Necy Morris! Ms. Necy is our Media Assistant and she just opened a bake shop in downtown Manteo called Necy's Baby Cakes.
Words of Wisdom: "If there is something you wish to accomplish, and you are passionate about it, be resilient and make it happen."
Are you an alumni of Manteo High School? Would you like to be featured on The Manteo Memo? If so, please complete our alumni survey.

"The project assigned was called contour line and shape, where we paint the inside of the shapes and add hatching on the outside. The inspiration was a video I saw on TikTok, which isn't interesting but I tried to put a twist on it. It was my favorite project we have done this year so far!"
Students will be issued the same device each year they are enrolled at MHS. All Chromebooks will be labeled prior to the fall. Chromebooks and chargers will be collected after testing. Anyone not testing may turn in their device early to the ITF. Seniors must have all items turned before graduation. Freshmen, Sophomores, and Juniors will complete the MHS Chromebook Student Storage Sheet as items are turned in. Students will be able to report any damages that may need to be fixed over the summer on this document.
Collection Dates:
- June 1st-2nd: Students not taking an EOC or CTE exam
- June 6th-9th: Students taking an EOC or CTE exam
- June 9th: All Chromebooks and chargers due
In order for students to keep a device in the summer, the following must be completed:
- Complete the DCS Summer Chromebook Checkout Form (This form is for intent purposes only. It does not guarantee that you will be issued a device over the summer.)
- Turn in your device during Spring Chromebook Collection
- If approved, you will be sent an invite to pick up your summer device.
Every student is responsible for the items checked out to them. The current replacement costs are:
- Chromebook: $345
- Charger: $35
- Chromebook Screen: $50
- Chromebook Keyboard: $50
- Missing Asset Tag: $10
