The Crissman Connection

Happy Summer!

Hi Crissman Families,

I hope this email finds you doing well. I can't believe we are wrapping up the end of the 2021-2022 school year. I want to thank you for sharing your child with us this year! We have enjoyed seeing them learn, grow and blossom as students and individuals! We would also like to thank all of you for your continued support! This year was another year of changes and we feel so blessed to have you and your families as our community!

During June, Crissman will distribute reports cards electronically. The fourth marking period grades will be sent electronically to families at the end of the day on Monday, June 20, 2022.

To receive the report cards, parents will need to have a secure PowerSchool account. Parents who do not have access to a PowerSchool account will need to register for one prior to Tuesday, June 14, 2022. The report cards will then be automatically e-mailed to the address that is used to register the PowerSchool account. If you already have a PowerSchool account, you do not need to take any further action. The report card will be automatically sent to you.

Crissman Field Day Tuesday! We are looking forward to a great day! Please make sure you have a background check on file to be a Classroom/Field Day Volunteer. No walk-ups or visits, please.

Crissman PTA SPRING FAIR is tonight! We are looking forward to a great time!

Requests for Next Year: If you emailed me a request, I did receive it. Just a reminder that request were due by May 31st. Please note that we do our best to accommodate requests while building learning communities. There are many factors that go into building our classrooms to be cognitively busy environments, in which all students thrive. The teachers, staff and myself work hard and must consider all factors when building classrooms. All requests will be considered, however, may not always be granted. Thank you for understanding.

(repeat) Computers and iPads: Students in grades 1st and 6th will be turning in their technology at the end of the school year. Each student must turn in their iPad and charger (1st grade) and Laptop and charger (6th grade). Teachers and the office will be taking inventory on the devices.

Device turn-in for 1st grade is scheduled for: Monday, June 6, 2022

Device turn in for 6th grade is scheduled for: Wednesday, June 8, 2022.

(repeat)Laptop Chargers: Students are responsible for the charger along with their laptop. This applies to iPads, as well. The replacement cost for a laptop charger is $39 for each charger. If a charger is lost, a replacement will be issued to the student and a charge for $39 will be entered in Power School. Checks can be made out to Crissman Elementary to cover the lost charger.

(repeat)Breakfast & Lunch for Fall 2022: The federal government will no longer be providing free breakfast and lunch to all students. Starting in the fall of 2022, students will need to purchase a breakfast or lunch (costs to come soon). Families in need can complete a Free/Reduced Lunch application for fall 2022 AFTER July 1, 2022. More information located under the UCS menu below.

Happy Summer Crissman Families!
