Play and Creativity Abound Thanks to Donors Choose Grant
Students at Spalding STEM Academy are enjoying recess even more thanks to a Donors Choose grant that provided activities for them to play and create while following health protocols.
Technology Monthly Maintenance Night
This evening at 5 p.m. the technology department is conducting monthly maintenance activities. Please be aware minor interruptions to District Technology Services between 5 p.m. and midnight are possible.
The following systems are expected to be impacted during maintenance activities:
- PowerSchool Student Information System – Parent Portal
- District’s web applications portal RapidIdentity
Scheduled maintenance should not impact student logins or access to any Microsoft services (email, Word, PowerPoint, Sway, Forms or Teams) from home.

Optional Device Protection Plan Update
West Ada School District is offering an optional device protection plan this school year for $25 per device. The optional protection plan cost covers one claim per year for accidental damage, loss, or theft.
Parents/guardians who have already opted into the device protection plan will receive an invoice and online payment instructions via e-mail on Monday, November 16. This email will be sent from onlinepayments@westada.org.
Families who have not yet opted into the optional device protection plan may still participate in the program by completing the following:
- Log into the PowerSchool Parent Portal
- Click on the “Student Information" menu button
- Click on the “SchoolForms” link
- Once on the “SchoolForms” webpage, the “1-1 Device Optional Protection” will be available.
If you have already opted out of the program but would like to change your selection, please contact your student’s school directly.

Open Enrollment for Second Semester at Virtual School House
Families can enroll in Virtual School House for second semester during the school’s open enrollment from November 16 through December 4. Returning students can find an intent to re-enroll form in their PowerSchool account. Students who have not attend Virtual School House may submit an open enrollment form on the school’s website.
Reach out to your brick and mortal school principal for help answering questions you may have regarding learning plans, services provided and classes available. They will refer you to Virtual School House if they cannot answer your questions.
