School Fair/Basket Auction
We are still looking for a few more summer themed items! Check out Mrs. Rohr's email for the Sign Up Genius. Feel free to just send in money and I will do the shopping if you are in a time crunch!
Egg Cartons Needed
Reading
- compare/contrast- text that tells about how two things are similar and different
- problem/solution- text which explains a problem found in the "real world" and then how we might solve it (or how it was solved)
- sequence- text which explains the order something happened or how something is done
- description- text which explains all about one topic
We looked in our own nonfiction reading for these structures and then we shared our findings.
Writing
If your child needs to put some finishing touches on their slide, they can sign on to their Google Drive from home using their email (they know their login, so just add @clarkston.k12.mi.us) and password. If they work from home, please help as needed, but make sure the student is doing the work. I use their work to determine next steps in instruction. Thanks!
Math
Next, we will study fractions. This is a very important part of third grade math instruction! We will be building our understanding using manipulatives we have in the classroom and those we make. More information will come home soon.
Social studies/Science
We LOVE to see the amazing things students create. Simple is OK! :-)
