THANK YOU, KITCHEN STAFF & MELINDA CARNERO----This week, you helped coordinate and host some of our parents who came as members of a Food Committee. They sampled the cafeteria food students eat and provided input into how to improve the taste, freshness and selection. Your willingness to listen and work as a team with this important stakeholder group is much appreciated!

Kindness Acts Matter Week---LCAP Goal 3: Safety

Early Literacy--Upcoming Professional Development for the Early Grades

As previously covered in staff meetings, through electronic media and with individual teachers in the lower grades, we will be taking on two professional development projects in early literacy. One of the projects involves working with Edi Porter from Monterey County Office of Education (MCOE). Below you will find some findings and conclusions from a pilot project carried out in three Monterey County school districts:

Parent Corner---LCAP Goal 4: Parent Involvement

On February 19th, three members of our parent community, Sandra Valdez, Miriam Rico and Areli Gonzalez, as members of a Food Committee, sampled our cafeteria food. They provided various suggestions on how to improve the food our students eat. Thank you parents and we look forward to improvements in our cafeteria food.
