I would like to take this time and formally introduce myself. My name is Lizbeth Cruz. I am the new bilingual school therapist for PA Counseling Services. I have recently relocated from New York because I recently got accepted to a BSN program and was need for a demographic change.
I been in the mental health field for a few years now. I have a Bachelors in Psychology and a Masters in Mental Health. For the past year, I have been working as an outpatient therapist at New York Psychotherapy and Counseling Center. I provided psychotherapy and play therapy to children, adolescents, adults and the elderly who suffered from crisis situations and mental disturbance. While being a full-time therapist I also held a position as a Care Coordinator for a manage care company. I assisted nurses with completing assessments for individuals with developmental disabilities in homes and provided the individuals with the services they need.
I’m here to provide clinical support for any child that may need that extra help to succeed in school. I also provide therapy for children who families do not have the time to go to an outpatient facility to receive any kind of help. So please feel free to stop my office or email me if you have any questions. I look forward to having a great year with all you wonderful people!
P.S. THANK YOU so much for guiding me when I’m lost around the hallway. It will take me some time for me get used to the school flow so please bear with me J
Sincerely,
Lizbeth Cruz
Breakfast and Tardies:
We have created a Green Breakfast Tardy pass for students who are finishing breakfast and will not make it to their class before 8:30. They will be given the Breakfast Tardy Pass to walk to class. Teachers should wait to take attendance until after announcements, so that all students will be in class from Breakfast. Support Staff in the cafeteria will ensure that all students are done eating and leaving the cafeteria from Breakfast by 8:30 am.
Also, if you have any extra orange Tardy passes in your classroom, please send them to the Main Office.
Salad Club:
We would like to have Salad Club the last Friday of every month, beginning on September 30th. To participate, you just need to sign up and bring a part of the salad the morning of the Salad Club. All staff members are welcome to participate (the more ingredients, the better). Then you just come to the conference room to make your salad during your lunch period. Use the link below to sign up for an item.
