Holiday Endurance!

We sure love the Holidays, but let's face it, it can sometimes be a struggle to be as productive as we were in August. The stop and go nature of being on-and-off school and shifting gears between work and celebration is no easy task. Here are some things we can try to remember to make December more successful:

1. Turning festivities into learning experiences. Our teachers are experts at integrating holiday themes with required curriculum. You can bet on some merry math problems and festive phonics instruction.

2. Practice mindfulness and balance. When students come back from break several teachers use mindfulness activities to help prepare their little minds for learning.

3. Focus on priorities. You can only fit so much into 14 December school days. Sometimes we need to re-focus on what is most essential.

4. Reinforce focus at home. We sure appreciate you continuing to encourage your student to work hard and praising their academic achievements during the holidays.

5. Be Healthy to avoid illness. As the temperature drops and we are outside less, cold, flu, and (heaven forbid) the dreaded COVID virus tend to tick up. Stock up on vitamins, Zinc, and balanced meals to help your child stave off sickness.

Happy Holidays, Patriots! We got this!
