A Message from Mr. Vuolo

In the spirit of Thanksgiving,we have much to be thankful for. There was no better way to end our Fall season than with a well-earned state championship for our football team!
Our student-athletes and coaches qualified four teams for state competitions. We have state champions and finishers in our halls and musicians selected to play in the state honors concert in our ensembles. As we look forward to our winter (and continuing) seasons, we are seeing first place finishes in cheerleading and dance team competitions on the same weekend. The future is bright and limitless. Above all else, I am thankful that every day we are able to engage in precious learning. Our students have completed a quarter of the academic year, engaged in numerous classroom projects, assessments, and activities to ensure daily growth toward college and career readiness.
Thank you for being part of our school community and supporting our students and staff as we maximize the moments and approach every day with pride, purpose, and passion.. Have a restful and amazing Thanksgiving.
With Saber Pride,
Mike Vuolo

FHS Course Changes and Updates for 2022-23
As we prepare for future course selections, we wanted to provide you with some updates to be aware of:
Our FHS InRoads program has successfully served as a program that allowed us to pilot many important and valuable college and career ready practices/programs and many of the key attributes of the program now exist on a much broader scale at FHS. We will be sunsetting the program, meaning that students currently enrolled in InRoads will be continuing through the current programming through their graduation. No new student cohorts will begin the program. The last graduating class with students in InRoads will be the class of 2025. Many of these valuable academic and career planning pieces will be monitored and grown through our Education for Employment plan
Two business classes will be renamed: Marketing (replacing Sports and Entertainment Marketing) and Advertising (replacing Advertising and Web Design)
One math class will be eliminated: Honors Pre-Calculus will no longer be a course.
We will continue to update you if there are any other changes as course selection approaches.

With the support of our Franklin Education Foundation, ACT Prep waivers/scholarships are available for students who are eligible for reduced or free lunch & students with acute financial need.
If you qualify, please complete this form and submit it to Student Services two weeks prior to the start of your prep class (or sooner!). By requesting a fee waiver, you give authorization for FHS Administration to access information verifying your eligibility for a waiver.
