Tiffany Ridge families,
Thank you for your continued support for your students through distance learning and managing all that this pandemic has brought to your families. We know and understand how hard this is for you to balance helping your children with learning tasks, while also maintaining your jobs and households. Our teachers and students prepared your students for potential distance learning prior to these weeks, so your student should know how to access all information. We are here and ready to support you. Our office will remain open during Distance Learning, so please reach out to us at 816-359-4400 with any questions.
Take Care,
Dr. Desiree Rios and Mrs. Megan Pudenz

Park Hill COVID-19 Notifications
Distance Learning Information:
Your student’s teacher will have a plan ready each day by 9:00. Schedules and learning activities will also be located in SeeSaw (K-2) or Schoology (3-5).
All students will participate in learning activities from 9:00-3:40 each day, with a lunch/recess break from 12:00-1:00.
Learning activities will include a combination of online lessons and independent learning activities throughout the day.
Students are expected to login to SeeSaw (K-2) or Schoology (3-5) and complete their assignments each day. These assignments will help teachers determine if your child has learned the content each day.
THANK YOU Tiffany Ridge PTA!

Family Support Service Options:
Free Meals
As we transition to distance learning for two weeks from November 30 to December 11, our nutrition services team is working to make meals more available to all children, ages 18 and under. Families can choose between two options each week:
- Bulk Frozen Meals: In addition to the normal Wednesday pickups, families are able to pick up bulk frozen meals on Mondays during this distance learning period, on Nov. 30 and Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Families that choose the bulk frozen meal option may only pick up once per week. Preorder your bulk frozen meals here.
- Daily Hot Meals: Families can pick up daily hot meals Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Congress Middle School and Walden Middle School. During distance learning, we will also have a hot meal pickup location at Graden Elementary. Find more information about daily hot meals here.
News from the Library Media Center:
Did you know that our public library offers MANY online resources that Park Hill students may access using their "S" number? All students know their S number for logging into their iPads or laptops.

Recess Reminders
The cold weather is upon us! Just a friendly reminder that students are expected to go out for recess each day. Appropriate clothing and shoes should be worn for outside activities. On days when the temperature and/or wind chill is above 20 degrees Fahrenheit and the playground is cleared of snow and ice, there will be outdoor recess.
Please put your child's name on their winter clothing (coats, gloves, hats, etc..). This will help us return your child's lost clothing to them quickly! Due to COVID-19, we will not let our Lost and Found closet fill up as much as we have in the past which means we will make more frequent donations to the Park Hill Clothing Center.
Welcome to Artsonia!
Artsonia is the World's Largest Student Art Museum. Yet it's so much more than that! It's a free, safe, educational program designed to connect parents and families with their child's creative activities at school. Please check your email for more information on how to sign up! Artwork will be submitted throughout the year for you to look at and share.

December Curriculum Connections
Check out the linked Curriculum Connections below to see what our Timberwolves will be working on in each subject area during the month of December! We want to share the learning topics at all of the grade levels so that you are familiar with what topics and content are taught this month! Your child's teacher is always happy to provide more details should you have questions!
Nominate a Staff Member for the Park Hill STAR Award
That is why we present the Park Hill Star award once a month to a Pre-K or elementary teacher, a secondary teacher and a support employee. Anyone can nominate an employee for this award by using the form below. It asks you to share how your nominee demonstrates our district values of continuous improvement, high expectations, integrity, visionary leadership and student focus. You can also share how your nominee supports the goals in our district’s strategic plan.
