Welcome Back!
We've missed you!
Happy New School Year CCES Families!
I want to start by saying thank you for all your support and feedback throughout my first year at CCES. I have learned so much and have had such a great time getting to know the students, staff, families, and communities of RSU 64.
According to Forbes magazine, “smiling is not just a universal means of communication, it’s also a frequent one. More than 30% of us smile more than 20 times a day and less than 14% of us smile less than 5 times a day. In fact, those with the greatest superpowers are actually children, who smile as many as 400 times per day!” Many of us have been able to master smiling with our eyes after all that the last couple years have brought us through. However, there is nothing like seeing the smile of others, it is contagious. I absolutely love the fact that we get to help make smiling possible for our students here at CCES. This place amazes me at how classrooms are buzzing, learning is consistent, adventures are happening, positive memories are being made, and all the while there are so many smiling faces throughout the entire day. No matter what life brings, there is always something to smile about and here at CCES it is YOU!
I want to leave you with this statement that I saw once in a picture. It says:
Today is a good day to have a great day. To SMIlE more, worry less. To be the very best version of YOU. To do more of what makes you happy. Every day be positive and regret nothing. To be humble and work hard. Every day may not be good but find something good in every day. Laugh, Love, Live. Follow your dreams. Believe in yourself and remember to be AWESOME.
This year is going to be awesome, because you are awesome. We are excited to work together at growing, learning, and smiling this year. As always if you ever need anything please do not hesitate to reach out to us. You can reach out to us through phone, emails, or stopping by. To stay up to date with what is going on here at CCES and RSU 64 we encourage you to download the RSU 64 App through your mobile device. Remember to sign up for notifications through the app so you won’t miss anything. We want to wish you all the very best school year and we can’t wait to see all those smiles!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Carr
It is with great enthusiasm that I write this letter of introduction as the new Assistant Principal of Central Community Elementary School. I am incredibly grateful and excited to join the CCES Family! I look forward to working in partnership with Mrs.Carr and CCES staff, to continue the work of advocating for and providing all students with an educational experience where values and diversity are celebrated. Prior to joining CCES, I was Dean of Students at Minot Consolidated School in Minot, Maine for 3 years. Before becoming an administrator, I was a special education teacher for 11 years. I enjoy the challenges of education, collaborating with teachers, communicating with parents, and celebrating successes with students.
On a more personal note, my husband, Ethan and I enjoy spending time with our two sons Mason and Trace. We love being outside exploring, traveling, going on adventures, and staying active. We are building our forever home in a nearby town and are excited to be in the Bangor area.
I am committed to providing leadership and building a structure of collaborative relationships in our school and community. I believe in providing opportunities that allow all students to succeed! I look forward to meeting all students and families this coming school year!
