LUNCH Reminders
1) Expectations for Students Choosing to Spend Lunchtime Outdoors -
- Enjoy lunchtime with your friends or by yourself in the Tegeler courtyard.
- There are no assigned seats. Find a place where you are comfortable and enjoy the time outside.
- Be sure to put all trash in a nearby trashcan once you have finished eating.
- Soccer balls and footballs may be kicked; volleyballs are not to be punted or kicked hard. Please take care of the school's equipment.
- If you need to leave the courtyard to pickup a food delivery out front or retrieve a ball from behind the portables, please secure permission from duty personnel before leaving the courtyard area.
- Avoid the use of profanity and if playing music where others can hear it make sure it is appropriate for school.
2) Megalunch Schedule - Regularly check the Megalunch Schedule via the Blazertime website for activities offered during lunchtime at Tegeler. Be sure to note tutorial times for your teachers as well as dates and times for the various clubs and activities offered weekly. There is something offered for everybody. Plug in!
3) Share Cart - Please do not throw away unopened food items, juice or milk. Other students might want to eat or drink them! Because it is important to keep items at the appropriate temperatures, the school district's Food Services department has purchased Share Carts for all of the schools that will do just that! If you are hungry or didn't get full on the lunch you were served, stop by the Share Cart and help yourself to anything there. Let's try hard not to waste food that others might need.
Cold Days ahead! Winter Weather Exception Details Below
The criterion used to determine this exception is when temperatures for the Pasadena area during the school day (beginning at 5:00 AM) are forecasted to be 39 degrees or lower.
On days when the Winter Weather Exception is made, students are encouraged to dress warm and in layers. Sweats pants are allowed but should be made of warm, thick material. Thin or light pajama-type bottoms are not allowed.
Leggings are never allowed to be worn alone as pants but may be worn under blue jeans or sweats to add warmth.
When possible, phone messages and Facebook posts will be made to communicate the Winter Weather Exception.
