Flu Season

If your child is sick with a fever, do not send him/her to school. Keep your sick child home for at least 24 hours after the fever has subsided. Your child may come back to school after his/her temperature returns to normal for 24 hours without medication. It is important to see a health care provider if your child exhibits the following:

  • rapid breathing or trouble breathing
  • bluish or grayish skin color
  • not drinking enough fluids
  • vomiting a lot or for a long time
  • not waking up or interacting with you
  • inability to be soothed/comforted

For more information about the flu, visit the CDC website at or the Immunization Action Coalition website at You may also contact our school nurse, April Hicks, at

Thank you for helping us keep students and staff healthy at BCE!

School Dismissal Manager

Bee Cave Elementary is now using School Dismissal Manager! This program will assist us with safety of all students and efficiency during dismissal. You will no longer contact the front office or your child's teacher with transportation changes. After setting up an account online, you will login to update any transportation changes. If you need assistance, please contact the front office at 512-533-6250.

Parents of 5th Grade Students

As your rising 6th grader makes their elective selections for next school year, you may wonder about the Off Campus PE (OCPE) choice that you see near the PE/Dance options.

This OCPE has been allowed by the Texas Education Agency to provide off campus physical education for Olympic Level competitive athletes. The OCPE comes with many stipulations that are guided by our school district policy and the LTISD School Board's approval.

Please see attached flyer for additional information. If you have additional questions, you can contact our campus counselor, Courtney Trimmer, at

Mom/Son Kickball Reschedule

Be on the lookout for both in February!

Want an inside look at how Bee Cave Elementary is run, or be the first to know new developments and events before parents and community?

Joining our PTO is a great opportunity to see just what goes into your child’s education. It’s also a great way to have a voice in what your child will get out of their education, and kids LOVE seeing their parents at school!

Parent involvement is a powerful tool that benefits both parent and child. Studies over the last 30 years prove this.

We are looking for a few more amazing parents to join the BCE PTO Board next year. Please click on the form to learn more about the positions. (Disclaimer: When the new Board is formed, committee assignments are subject to changed based on new Board input).

Feel free to apply or reach out with questions. Thank you!
