From the Principal's Pen

March 18, 2022

Dear Parents,

We held our first in person parent meeting this Wednesday and welcomed the parents of our 2022-2023 Kindergarten students to our school. We have robust numbers this year and we are expecting a minimum of 50 kindergarteners on September 1, 2022. In addition to those kindergarteners we will have a class of 15 preschoolers in the 2022-2023 year. We are so excited to welcome all of these new little Eagles to Julian Curtiss School.

We recognize that we have parents of K and 1 students or new students to our school this year that have never stepped into our building due to COVID. We will be offering some before and after school tours for anyone that might be interested in seeing their child's school building.

We have set two dates so far:

Monday, March 28th at 7:30 am or 3 pm.

Monday, April 4th at 7:30 am or 3 pm.

Please call the office at 203-869-1896 and let Lisa or Pati know you will be coming. If those dates don't work please provide a few dates that will work before or after school and we will try and accommodate you.

You will be receiving an invitation soon to come watch the Fun Run on our field on April 14th which is the day before our spring recess.

Our Student Council members, Service Club members and Ambassadors will be marching in the Saint Patrick's Day Parade on Sunday March 20 at 2:00 PM from Town Hall down Greenwich Avenue. Come in your JC Spirit Wear and cheer us on.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Trish McGuire and Matt Hartigan
