We are nearing the end of third quarter...hard to believe. Please be sure grades are up to date so students have an accurate picture of their progress in your class. Also, if you have any seniors in danger of failing your class be sure to let parents, counselors, and associate principals know.
GRADES DUE
Grades will be due to Hannah by Wednesday, March 25th at 4:00pm.
VERIFICATION SHEETS
Hannah will notify teachers via email when they are in mailboxes. Verification sheets will be due back by 4:00pm Thursday, March 26th.

Summer School TEACHERS NEEDED
Summer school is just around the corner, and the applications for teaching positions are now available on the district website. Here is some brief information for both middle and high schools.
Middle School
June 1 to June 25th at Schroeder, South, Twining, and Valley
8am to 12pm
Reading and Math
High School
June 1 to July 7 at Central and Red River High School
7:45am to 12:25pm (for most classes)
7:25am to 1:15pm (physical science)
Current GFPS teachers will need to sign in the application system as an internal candidate. To ensure the system identifies you as an internal candidate, please click "Internal" at the top right of the job listing page in the application system. You will be prompted to enter your Employee ID number (shown on your ID Badge).
In the application you will be required to complete personal information (name, phone, and email), a cover letter, and the Middle School and/or High School sections to indicate which courses you are interested in teaching.

What is one thing that you want to check off your bucket list?
Travel through Europe.

Kayaking, bike rides on the Greenway, and binging European crime shows on Netflix with my husband
Who was your favorite teacher/coach/advisor and why?
Kim Adams was my Health Careers teacher at Central, and she really ignited my interest in nursing. I admired the kindness, empathy, and respect she showed her students, and I loved hearing her many interesting stories about nursing. I was actually a guest speaker in her class when she told me I should consider applying for a new online teaching program the district was going to start. I'm so glad I took her advice!
What is something people here might not know about you?
Dr. Arason was my Econ teacher in high school. He taught me the best financial move I could make for myself is becoming a teacher.
What is one thing that you want to check off your bucket list?
Enjoying pizza and pasta in Italy!
