# Planning a Party Project

### Which company has the best deals?

## Grab Some Grub: Describe how you created each equation

Burger Bonanza

1: This equation was created by multiplying the $10 by the amount of people (x), and then adding the $20 entering fee, to get Y, the total cost.

Equation: Y=10x+20

Pizza Palace

This equation was created by multiplying $9.25 by the amount of people and then adding the $61.25 set up fee to each total.

Equation: Y=9.25+61.25

## Question 2: How many students would cost the same at each place

Yes, if there are 54 students the total cost would be $560. I figured this out by looking at both the tables and realizing that at Burger Bonanza, for 50 students the cost would be $520, and at Pizza Palace for 50 students the cost would be $523. Since these numbers are close, I began to guess and check starting at the number 50 and going up by one's, as well as plugging in the equation. Then when plugging in the number 54 into the equation, they came out to be the same total.

BB: (10x54+20=$560)

PP: (9.25x54+61.25=$560.75)

## Bounce House: How you created each equation

Hoppin Around: This equation was created by multiplying the $75 per hour, by the amount of hours (x) for the bounce house, to get Y, the total cost.

Equation: Y=75x

## Question 2: How many hour would cost the same for each bounce house

Yes, in the table it already shows that for, 4 hours the cost is $300 for both bounce house companies. I figured this out by plugging the number 4 into each equation from both Hoppin Around and Jumpin Jacks, then I got a total of $300.

HH: (75x4=$300)

JJ: (54x4+84=$300)

## Question 3: How many house for $750 budget

I would recommend The jumpin Jacks bounce house if you only had a budget of $750 because you can have it for more hours. While the Hoppin Around bounce house is $750 for 10 hours, Jumpin Jacks bounce house is $732 for 12 hours, which is $18 less for more amount of time.
