Woodland Caribou Protection
The endangered animal
Why are they endangered?
Cruelty
Their numbers are reducing because the hunters are killing them for the valuable hide that could be used for many things such as clothing, tent, and sleeping bags.
Polluted Sanctuary
Caribous need large areas of undisturbed old growth woodland however their habitats are polluted by oil wastes, hydroelectric dams, roads, and, lots of other industries. Imagine your house painted with oil waste and disturbed by explosive sounds...would you live there?
Reduced Protection
Caribous usually dwell in trees so they can't be spotted by its predators. However, because of increased number of clear cutting, the opportunity of roaming freely reduced.
WHAT SHOULD WE DO?
We could...
at least protect their habitat by :
1. Reusing and recycling
2. Decreasing meat consumption
3. Not littering
4. Not polluting
5. Planting flowers or any saplings
6. Using organic fertilizers
7. Not supporting products that are made from animals
8. Using rechargeable batteries
9. Using recycle bag
10. Supporting campaign such as Earth Hour
