Rocket Ready Prepares for Lift Off!

Richards is beginning a new program called "Rocket Ready" for children, 5 and under. We will be hosting events at school where we play games, read books, work with numbers, and enjoy a snack. This program will help prepare your child for success in school. If you are interested in having your child be a part of this new program, please complete the following quick survey! We would love for your child to be a part of our "Rocket Ready Blast-Off Crew" and we look forward to hearing from you!

Snacks & Smiles Brought to You by Life360 and the Entire Richards Crew

Our kickoff week providing afternoon snacks to all our Rockets was a resounding success. The proof is on the smiling faces and in the full tummies of our students. The success of this program would not be possible without the support of the entire staff & students.

"Project Lead the Way" Students Hard at Work

Automation & Robotics

In preparation for a major design project applying mechanical and automation, these eighth grade students are currently building gear assemblies and making observations about their uses.

Design & Modeling

These seventh grade students are designing a supportive, custom-sized ankle foot orthosis (AFO) to help a patient with spastic hemiplegia, a muscular disorder associated with cerebral palsy.

Orthotics clinics create supports and braces for people with a variety of physical needs. So, these students must make sure their design can be customized for specific areas of the body. The orthosis must also be sized to fit each unique client. This is especially important for a young person who is growing rapidly and must be fitted often for a new orthosis.

We are confident they will meet the challenge.

Look Who Hopped In for a Visit!

Second grade is learning about animal groups. So what better way than meeting a baby kangaroo up close and personal! Lucky for our second graders that Ms. Robert's family owns a petting zoo! We are pretty sure these students are now experts when it comes to marsupials!
