National Freedom Day

Why We Should Promote National Freedom Day
This holiday, National Freedom Day, is to celebrate the fall of the Berlin Wall, in 1989. I believe that the Berlin Wall was an important day in history, and the fact that it is ¨not celebrated¨ is unacceptable. This holiday should be special to not just a few people; but thousands, because this day impacted history.
It IS Worthy
I think that Americans should celebrate this day as much as we celebrate Thanksgiving.
There is not enough freedom in the world, so we should be thankful of the freedom we have; Germany was a great country, that had some pretty bad things happening to them.
The fall of the Berlin Wall was a great impact in history, and it should be worldwide known, especially in America.
Lastly, but not least, it is worthy of its own special day because it would be a day to celebrate the families reuniting, and the country all together reuniting as one; instead of east and west.
What We Should Do About ItI believe that if you think something will happen, with all of your might, it might just happen. We, as Americans should start petitions to let people know about this ¨unknown¨ holiday. Also, we could write letters to the president to let him/her know about these petitions, and potentially make an impact.
The choice is yours.
