Battle of the Books

Students participate in fun literary activities while reading specific books in preparation for the Battle of the Books competition.

Geography Bee

Encourage geographic literacy and general awareness about geography. Topics to study include: Cultural Geography, Economic Geography, Across-the-Country, Around-the-World, Plants and Animals, Geographic Comparisons, Physical Geography and Odd-Item-Out.

First LEGO League

First LEGO League uses robotics technology for challenges based on real-world scientific problems. Students engage in research, problem solving and engineering tasks. Each team competes in the statewide competition.

Come and read with us! Club includes independent reading, book discussion and an activity! Here's what we're doing the fall semester:


September 7

Celebrate Grandparent's Day (9/11)!

Bring a grandparent. Read to him or her! Then make bookmarks for one another.


October 5th

Celebrate National Do Something Day (10/5)

Celebrate National Bring Your Teddy Bear to School Day (10/12)

Bring a stuffed animal and read to it! Then make a flower with a smiley face card to give to someone.


November 2nd

Celebrate National Author's Day & National Literacy Day (11/1)

Bring a book written by your favorite author. Then write a note to your favorite author!


December 7th

Celebrate National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day (12/7)

Read to a veteran! Bring a book about history - fiction or non-fiction. Then make a gift for a veteran with a thank you card. Give to someone you know or we'll take it to the Veteran's Center.
