Big picture

Vaughan will be hosting our 20th Annual Veterans Day Celebration on Monday, November 11th. We will honor the men and women who have served our country with a light breakfast and then a patriotic program in the cafeteria.

To celebrate this special occasion, we are asking Vaughan Vikings to invite any relative or special friend they have who is a Veteran (of peace-time or war-time), a relative/friend of a loved one currently serving, or a survivor of a deceased Veteran to come to our school on Monday, November 11, 2019 starting at 7:15 am.

CLICK HERE for the invitation form. Please fill this out by Friday, 11/1!

Veterans Day Donations Needed!

Vaughan fourth graders will be collecting items to send to the VA Hospital. There will be a box in the front hallway for students to put in their donations.

This year we are collecting the following items:

  • Board games/card games – new or gently used
  • Socks – new (multi-packs of white socks are great)
  • Fleece blankets/throws – new or gently used clean ones
  • Candy for Soldiers’ Angels – wrapped candy for troops, veterans, and wounded veterans in VA hospitals

Please help us fill some of the needs of our Veterans by sending a donation to school by Wednesday, November 6th. Thank you!
