About Pemba Island
Pemba Island is also known as "the green island" because it is an island forming part of the Zanzibar archipelago, lying off the east coast of Africa in the Indian Ocean. Pemba is an island that has a hilly terrain and some of the best deep-water drop offs for divers. Pemba only gets about 1% of its neighbors visitors. Most of the land here is used for small scale farming. Pemba Island also has rich fishing grounds.
