What Are We Up To In Room 115?
Math
This week we will be finishing up our short unit on area and perimeter. Students will receive their study guides on Friday and the test will be on Tuesday the 26th.
Reading/Writing
We will also begin our book clubs! Each group has chosen their books so we will begin to plan what good conversations will look like and how they will prepare to talk about their books. Students will learn the value of shared reading and discussion with a small group about a book they are all reading.
Students will be finishing their persuasive writing and publishing that this week as well.
Word Work--NEW DESIGN
We will begin our next round of words on a 2 week rotation again. This time students will be given words that begin with the prefixes dis-, en-, and inter-. The assessment for these words will be on Friday, January 30.
