Summary of George W. Bush Presidency
George W. Bush was the 43 president of the United States. He was in office in January 20, 2001 until January 20, 2009. His full name is George Walker Bush and was born on July 6, 1946in New Heaven, Connecticut. He is an American Politician and business man. George was also the 46th governor of Texas from 1995 to 2000. Being the eldest son of Barbara and George H.W. Bush. He went to Yale University and graduated in 1968 after he then attended Harvard Business School in 1975 then decided to work In a oil business. Our 43 president then married Laura Welch in 1977. Bush was elected president in 2000 after a close controversial election becoming the fourth president to be elected while receiving fewer popular votes nationwide than his opponent. Bush is the second president to have been the son of a former president. Eight months into bush's first term as president in September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks occurred and bush's response was to announce war on terror. Then an international military campaign which include the war in Afghanistan launched in 2001 and the war in Iraq launched in 2003. Bush promoted policies on he economy, heath care, education, social security form, and emending the constitution of same sex marriage.
