Kendallvue Community Updates
November 27 - December 9, 2022
Welcome Back
I hope you all had a restful and relaxing Thanksgiving Break. It was a welcome break at the Lindsey household as we enjoyed time with friends and family. Thank you to all the families who contributed to our Thanksgiving Food and Personal Care Drive. It was a huge success and your generosity will go a long way to help families this holiday season. Now we prepare for the final push until winter break.
We have a lot going on these next three weeks. We are hosting school tours for our Peiffer families this week. As I get information about consolidation updates, I will do my best to pass this information along to you all. Speaking of consolidation, we would like to address our drop off and pick up routines. In the coming weeks, we will have more signage to help direct traffic. I also want to say a big "thank you" to James Hileman our fearless crosswalk guard! We will continue to provide information in this community updates and on our website. Thank you for helping keep our kids safe in the parking lot.
A few final thoughts. First, open enrollment starts on December 6, 2022. Here is the district site for information (click here). You can also call the front office and we can help steer you in the right direction for 23-24 school enrollment. Second, the district will announce new start times for the 23-23 school year. More information can be seen on the district website (click here). Please look forward to some district communication before we leave for winter break.
Have a wonderful week and welcome December!
Cheers,
Bruce Lindsey

Front Office Updates
- Please read the information on this document for more information on our "Hug & Go" morning process. We understand our parking is limited and many parents want to see their kids walk in the building. However, when cars are left unattended in the "Hug & Go" lanes, it clogs up the flow and creates unsafe conditions for other students. We are working on solutions to create a more efficient process for the morning and afternoon. If you have suggestions, please let us know!
- This information will be posted on our website too.
Preschool Enrollment Process
- On December 6th Enroll Jeffco will open for families to enroll EXCEPT for preschool families. As more information becomes available we will update everyone on the new process. Thank you for your patience.
- New this year: Jeffco families will use Colorado’s Universal Preschool Program (UPK) application to enroll in preschool for the 2023-24 school year. Families will not be able to apply for preschool in EnrollJeffco on Tuesday, December 6.
- Due to implementation of the new UPK application, families will wait until January 2023 to apply. This change is for preschool enrollment only. Visit this webpage to learn more. More information will be available soon.

Free, Virtual Suicide Prevention Training
The Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) mission is to reduce suicidal behaviors and save lives by providing innovative, practical, and proven suicide prevention training. QPR for parents/caregivers teaches people to:
- Recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis
- How to ask someone directly if they are feeling suicidal
- How to refer someone to help
The next virtual training is Wednesday, November 30 from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Space is limited so register now to reserve your spot.
