A Message from Principal Jackson

Hello Miner Families,

We hope you are all well and enjoying summer! It has been great to see some of the students on the playground latley.

This past weekend the Miner Mutual Aide Network held an amazingly successful event for the community. I want to thank all of those parents and partners who spent countless hours planning, organizing, and executing the event! It was amazing to see all of the members of the community and how grateful they were for the assistance and support. Thank you to all of the organizers and volunteers who made the event such a great opportunity.

This week we anticipate the Mayor making an announcement on Friday (July 31) about the status of school opening for next school year. Just like our families and educators, I am eagerly awaiting this announcement. Members of the leadership team and I are working to plan for all of the eventualities and once we know the Districts plan we will be able to start communicating out Miner's plans for SY 20-21.

DCPS Schools remain closed to normal business at this time and teachers are on leave so if you need anything from the school, here are the best contacts to use:

Enrollment: MinerESEnroll@k12.dc.gov

Principal Jackson - bruce.jackson@k12.dc.gov

Ms. Offor - uchenna.offor@k12.dc.gov

Stay safe and let the school know if we can be of any assistance.

Respectfully,

Principal Jackson
