Lunch Times

***Parents who plan to eat lunch with their child (their child (children) only), may do so in the reserved Parent/Student Lunch Room by the cafeteria. Please check in at the office and continue to wear your issued ID until you check out with the office following your lunch with your student.
Car Rider LIne:
Please refrain from parking in the spaces on the roadsides, or in the upper parking lot and walking up to pick up your child. Children who truly walk home from school are escorted to their check-in areas. If your child is going to be a car rider, they must travel to the library with their classmates. The teachers will call their names, and they will come to you. Please be patient. we are still working out the logistics of our dismissal procedures at this time.
Contacting your child's teacher:
Please use classdojo to track your child's behavior during the day. You may also send your child's teacher messages. We will be as accomodating as we can to reply to you as soon as possible, but we are learning and we may return a reply to you during lunch or after dismissal.
Please place any notes pertaining to transportation changes, absence excuse notes in your child's binder in the front pocket or pencil pouch. Thank you!
What are we going to be learning?
Reading
I can demonstrate a basic knowledge of letters and sounds.
Students will work together in groups and with Teachers to learn and review letter sounds and letter correspondences (Letter matches sound).
Writing
I can use a combination of drawing, dictating and writing to narrate a single event.
Students will begin learning how to draw and write about their ideas each day.
Math
I can read, count, and write numbers through 10.
Students will participate in math workstations and learn how to read, write and count numbers through 10 in small group settings.
Science
I can describe the season of Fall.
***Students will begin their study of seasons, weather and how quickly daily weather can change. They will complete many tasks and will gain a better understanding of certain weather conditions and how we can react to them.
Arrival and Lunch Times
Breakfast begins promptly at 7:05, all students should go straight to the cafeteria, pick up their breakfast, and go to class. All students will eat breakfast in our classroom, and must finish promptly at 7:30. Our bells rings at 7:30 am.

*Parents, you may join your child (only) for lunch. We have a special area for parents to enjoy your time with your child. It will be in the room on the right, before you arrive at the cafeteria. Please contact your child's teacher for more information.
