March 23-27 Week 2 of Distance Learning

March 27 Birthday Friday at Home! How can you celebrate Birthday Friday with your family?

From the Principal

Happy Thursday LSRO! I hope you have gotten the chance to take a look at our distance learning website and have your child begin to participate in some of the resources and activities that our curriculum and instruction team has worked so hard to get ready for us!

Thank you for your patience and support, as we work through all of these changes together!

Mrs. Shepherd

Have you heard from your child's teacher?

Our teachers are ready every day to help you and your child, as you are learning at home. You should, if you haven't already, begin to hear from your child's teacher on a regular basis. Please feel free to reach out to them via email and they will respond back to you. I know I can speak for our teachers when I say that we care so much about all of our students. So, please reach out if you need some help, more information, or if you have questions. We are all here to help!

Distance Learning Site

Have you visited our Curriculum and Instruction Distance Learning Site? Visit, click on Departments, scroll down to Curriculum and Instruction, and it takes you directly to our Curriculum and Instruction site. On the top left-hand side, you will see Distance Learning. Click here to head to our activities and resources that we have available for all grade levels.

Breakfast and Lunch Distribution for Students

Parents, please remember that we have breakfast and lunch boxes meals available each day from 10 to 12 at our Lancaster campus. Please have your students with you. It makes the process much quicker if you have their First and Last name, grade level and campus written down. This is a drive through service available to all students within the district.
Puck up locations are also open at our Mountain Creek and Carrollton campuses.
Big picture

When you are ready for life, you have the ability to recover or adjust easily from misfortune or change. You are able to overcome with an attitude of optimism. You always maintain a positive attitude and focus on what you could learn from the situation. By doing these things, you are using the leader attribute, Resilient.

This weeks I will statement.

“I will be resilient by keeping a positive attitude even in a bad situation.”

Our community college spotlight is Mountain View College located in Dallas. This week we find out the blue and gold Lions have over 11,00 students earning Associate degrees and certificates in a variety of professional and educational programs. Visit for more info.
